A child has been arrested over a scrambler bike incident when it collided with a pedestrian, causing serious injuries.
The scrambler bike was stolen and as a result uninsured. It was clearly driving too fast on the road, estimated to be over 30 mph over the 40 mph limit.
The collision occurred on a dual carriageway close to a bend. It was reported that the pedestrian did not have time to see the speeding scrambler bike riding round the bend. As a result, the scrambler bike hit the pedestrian and veered off the road.
The cyclist was trying to run away but due to the nature of his injuries was unable to do so and subsequently arrested.
