A motorcyclist, aged 58, has suffered severe depression as a result of a horrific motorcycle accident in which he sustained life changing injuries and was left severely disabled which meant he had to permanently give up work.
As a result of the accident, the motorcyclist’s fingers were disconnected and he sustained a break to his shoulder blade and broke five ribs. He had to undergo an operation whereby a steel bar was inserted into his knee cap.
The motorcyclist’s depression built up after he returned from hospital. He became frustrated because he could no longer do the things he used to and stated that he thought he would lose his house because he couldn’t work and the financial situation was just ‘grinding’ him down. He couldn’t sleep at night and missed playing his gigs.
