A cyclist, aged 21 years old, was hit by a car when he was emerging out of a side road. The motorist indicated to turn left so the cyclist emerged out of the road but the motorist failed to manoeuvre left and carried on, colliding with the cyclist and knocking him off his bike.
As a result of the incident, the cyclist broke his leg and collar bone. The cyclist’s GP estimated the recovery period of the injuries and confirmed it could take up to 12 months for a full recovery.
18 months passed and the cyclist was still suffering from his injuries. He made a claim for compensation in which he received £3,900.00 in total.
